Press Release: Kelle Energy Introduces Mobile EV Charging to Support Malaysia’s Low-Carbon Mobility Goals

Kuala Lumpur, 4 February 2026 — Kelle Energy, a Singapore-based clean energy technology company, today officially launched Malaysia’s first Mobile EV Chargers integrated with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) mobile solutions, marking a major milestone in the country’s electric vehicle (EV) and energy transition journey.

The launch event was officiated by Yang Berhormat Tan Hong Pin, Member of Parliament (YB Tan Hong Pin) for Bakri and a Member of the Special Select Committee on Infrastructure, Transportation and Communication, as well as the representatives from Energy Commission of Malaysia (ST), underscoring public sector support for sustainable, scalable, and future-ready EV charging solutions in Malaysia.

Kelle Energy’s mobile EV chargers combine DC fast charging, intelligent energy management, and BESS, allowing chargers to be deployed quickly without extensive civil works or grid reinforcement. One mobile charger can serve multiple vehicles, making it a cost-effective complement to permanent charging infrastructure.

“Our launch in Malaysia represents more than a product introduction, it is about enabling a smarter, more flexible EV ecosystem.” said Jason Koh, CEO of Kelle Energy. “With strong partners like Gotion High-Tech and EV Connection, and with Malaysia’s clear policy direction on electrification and sustainability, we are confident that mobile EV charging will play a meaningful role in supporting the nation’s transition to low-carbon nation.”

Advancing Malaysia’s EV and Low-Carbon Mobility Agenda

Malaysia continues to accelerate EV adoption under national initiatives such as the Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint 2021–2030 and the government’s target to expand EV charging infrastructure nationwide. Kelle Energy’s mobile, grid-independent EV charging solution directly supports these efforts by complementing fixed charging networks with flexible, fast-deployable direct current (DC) charging, particularly in locations where permanent infrastructure may be constrained.

Unlike conventional chargers that rely heavily on grid upgrades and fixed installations, Kelle Energy’s integrated mobile EV chargers with BESS solutions deliver DC fast charging directly to vehicles, helping to ease congestion and optimise underutilised areas across cities.

Strategic Partnerships and MoU Signings

The launch also marked the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU), strengthening Kelle Energy’s strategic expansion into Malaysia:

  • Strategic Investment and Business Development Collaboration

An MoU was signed between Kelle Energy and Anhui Yijianeng Digital Technology Co Ltd, the subsidiary of Gotion High-Tech Co., Ltd (Gotion), a global battery technology leader from China, to support strategic investment and business development initiatives for mobile energy solutions and BESS applications in the region.

This collaboration aims to accelerate the commercialisation and localisation of advanced mobile energy and storage solutions, enhancing energy resilience and supporting Malaysia’s clean energy ecosystem.

  • Malaysia Market Partnership for Mobile EV Charging Solutions
A second MoU was signed between Kelle Energy, Anhui Yijianeng Digital Technology Co Ltd and EV Connection Sdn Bhd (EVC) to establish partnership for the deployment and expansion of mobile EV charging solutions nationwide.

Through this partnership, the parties will work together to introduce scalable, user-centric mobile EV charging services tailored to Malaysia’s urban centres, commercial facilities, fleet operators, and emerging EV demand corridors.

Leveraging Gotion’s Growing Presence in Malaysia

Gotion is the mobile EV charger technology partner for Kelle Energy. The collaboration builds on Gotion’s expanding footprint in Malaysia, following recent developments where the Johor state government is finalising discussions with Gotion to establish an advanced lithium battery manufacturing facility in Johor⁽¹⁾, a move that positions Malaysia as a key player in the regional battery and EV supply chain.
